A trilingual showcase and management platform for the Sudan–Senegal expo and forum in Dakar, West Africa.
Sensudan is both the public showcase and the complete management system for the Sudanese Companies Exhibition and the Sudanese–Senegalese Economic and Investment Forum held in Dakar, Senegal, in West Africa. Organizers needed one place for companies, investors, and institutions to discover the event, and for staff to run program, commercial packages, registrations, and inquiries, in English, French, and Arabic. Over roughly two months I built the live public site and a role-based staff admin so the team can publish content, take submissions, and reuse the same system for future editions instead of starting from scratch each year.
The Problem
A recurring cross-border trade event cannot run on scattered WhatsApp threads, email inboxes, and separate language documents. Staff were at risk of publishing different dates or package details in English, French, and Arabic, while attendance, booth, and sponsorship interest arrived through informal channels with no shared queue. Past years also had no clean public archive: updating the site for a new edition meant overwriting the old one or maintaining parallel copies. That made outreach slower and left exhibitors and partners without a single trusted source of truth.
The Solution
I shipped a public website and staff workspace that always shows the active edition at stable language URLs, including Arabic right-to-left layout. Visitors browse forum agenda and speakers, exhibition details and exhibitors, sponsorship tiers, media, and press materials, then submit individual, booth, or sponsorship registrations and contact inquiries online. Admins, editors, and translators manage edition pages, commercial packages, and media in one place and review submissions there, so outreach and intake run from one system instead of chat threads and file folders.
The Process
The constraint that shaped the product was year-over-year continuity without losing history. I modeled each year as a first-class edition: staff clone a complete edition, revise dates and content in draft, then an administrator activates it in one step. The previous year archives automatically, stays readable under year-specific URLs, and closes registration. Activation is blocked until English, French, and Arabic coverage and commercial packages are complete, so every public launch ships trilingual and commercially ready.
The Results
Live event site at sensudan.com serving English, French, and Arabic (with Arabic RTL)
Organizers publish program, packages, and media and process registrations from one staff admin
New editions can be cloned, drafted, and activated without overwriting the previous year
Past editions remain publicly readable under year archives with registration closed
Client Feedback
“We finally have one place for English, French, and Arabic and we can open a new edition without losing last year's public record.”
